Berlin Falls
Berlin Falls are a breathtaking natural beauty that can be found along the Panorama Route. The falls are shaped like a gigantic candle. The “wick” of the candle is formed by a small, naturally occurring canal at the top of the falls. As water drops from this point, it fans out, forming the remaining portion of the candle, before draining into the pool below.
Berlin Falls got its name because of the miners who came to South Africa during the gold rush from Europe and gave names to all the waterfalls in the area after their hometowns or native nations.
