Ebutsini 4×4 Trail
This trail is 30 kilometres long and has a grading of 2 to 3. As such, it usually takes between four and five hours to complete. It is a circular trail with an interesting terrain that combines stream crossings and muddy areas with rocky mountainous parts and gravel service roads. Although there are areas that will challenge drivers and the co-pilots, the Ebutsini 44 Trail is a self-drive course. For larger groups that would prefer some assistance, there are guides available with prior arrangement.
The picturesque 30 kilometre route at Ebutsini showcases incredible landscapes, some of which are best enjoyed from the viewpoints. There are a number of villages in the area, and drivers are able to witness the rural side of the life of many South Africans. These surrounds are also characterized by stunning vegetation, which is the natural habitat to many wildlife species, including a plethora of bird species.
Starting at the Ekulindeni Tourism Centre, the Ebutsini 44 Trail is a community initiative that is designed to uplift the community and promote job creation. So, by embarking on this 44 excursion, visitors not only have the opportunity to experience the loveliness of the South African countryside, but are also playing an integral role in the upward movement of the folk that have this as their home.
