Accident,
Crime incident,
Death or serious illness,
Bribery by an official on the road,
Displacement (lost),
Arrest.
The operator will assist you telephonically or assign emergency services or a volunteer from nearby to meet you.
It is important to memorise this number. You may have lost your mobile phone when you need help. You need to remember the number when you borrow a phone from someone.
All the police stations in the region are familiar with this system and they should call the help line when a tourist arrives at a police station. If they don’t, please request them to do so.
The operator will ensure you get someone local to meet you and guide you during police procedures, hospital admissions or change travel arrangements if necessary.
