Hiking trail

The well-marked trail begins close to the Dullstroom gated entry on the Dam. You’ll start the ascent to the top by walking along the edge of one of the dams and passing through a little gate. Even if you have no prior expertise, you shouldn’t find the path to be overly difficult or uncomfortable because it is well-maintained. After taking in the scenery for a few minutes, unwind and follow the trails or tyre tracks down into pasture land (where horses and cows are allowed to graze).

It’s a leisurely stroll, and the vistas, which resemble an Irish countryside, are likely to evoke an odd romanticist sense of tranquilly. Before leaving, check to see whether the rec hall is open, pet the dogs, and have a refreshing drink.
