The 2 night/ 3 day Bushbuckridge experience

On this tour guests explore both the beauty of Bushbuckridge and also experience the warm hospitality of its people.

Day 1
Pick up from the airport and arrive at this beautiful semi-rural town. Guests are ushered onto a tour of one of the villages where authentic everyday life is depicted and experiences shared. Guests get to sample a few traditional dishes before leaving to have lunch at the local shisanyama (informal barbeque joint). This is an opportunity to be enriched by the stories of locals and see the world through their eyes.

Guests then retire for the day to a five star boutique guesthouse which is a depiction of the quality of accommodation in the area.

Day 2
A hearty breakfast is served and guests are collected from the guesthouse to experience the beauty of Mariepskop on a breathtaking hike. This hike highlights the beauty of the northern Drakensburg escarpment. Situated on the slopes and summit of the highest peak of the northern Drakensberg Mountain range. The mountain is 1,947 meters above sea level in the Mpumalanga Province South Africa, 30 km southwest of the town of Hoedspruit.
