Visiting Eswatini (Swaziland)

The kingdom is easily accessible by road from the Kruger Lowveld region via Josefdal/Bulembu Border near Barberton, Jeppes Reef/Matsamo Border near Malalane, Oshoek/Ngwenya Border near Badplaas and Mananga Border near Tonga. The use of the South African Rand is acceptable as it is equivalent to the Lilangeni.

Documents required
• A valid passport valid for at least six months after the anticipated date of return.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certified copy of vehicle registration papers, this includes boats.
• Letter of authority from the registered owner if the vehicle is not owned by the driver. If the vehicle financed, a letter of authority from the bank is required.
• Unabridged birth certificate for South African minors travelling with both parents/legal guardians. In the absence of one of the parents/legal guardians, an affidavit giving consent for the accompanying parent/guardian to travel with the child across the border must be presented.
• Road toll fee of E100 (R100) per vehicle.
