Hezekiah Game Farm

Hezekiah is situated approximately 15 kms from Nelspruit town in the scenic Alkmaar region, and is owner run and managed by the Coetzee family.   A portion of the farm is used for small scale commercial farming, whilst the remaining area is dedicated to game farming.  Numerous antelope species including Kudu, Nyala, Impala, Wildebeest, Klipspringer and Duiker are present in abundance and birdlife is prolific.  A myriad of farm roads are available for birders, hikers and mountain bikers to enjoy.  Fresh water fishing is possible in the dam (catch and release) and there is a peddle-boat available for hire which can seat four people.
All three of the accommodation units at Hezekiah are situated close to the dam with fantastic views of the surrounding mountainous countryside.  The original Stone Cottage (sleeps 5) consists of two comfortable bedrooms with double beds all with linen, sheets, and duvets.  Each room has its own fan and heater and is serviced daily.  The bathroom is tiled and towels are supplied.  The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering and offers a secure open plan kitchen with a full sized fridge/freezer; a three plate stove; a microwave oven; toaster and kettle.  All pots, pans, crockery and cutlery are provided.  One extra person can be accommodated on the lounge couch that can also be used as a sleeping bunk.  The outside braai (barbeque) area is equipped with a grid as well as all utensils needed, whilst bushveld firewood is available to buy on request.  Relax on the comfortable chairs and enjoy the effortless tranquillity that will restore your soul and soothe your senses.
The two newly built Log Cabins (sleeps 4 each) that have been added recently are proving to be very popular with our guests.  One of the units is built on an island overlooking the dam, whereas the second unit is situated against the mountain with breathtaking views.  Both units are fully equipped for self catering with a fridge, deep freeze, electric stove, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.  Each unit has one bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.  The open plan dining-kitchen area offers a table with 4 chairs and the two lounge couches can also be used as sleeping bunks to accommodate additional people.  The units are serviced daily and all linen, sheets, duvets and towels are supplied.  The Log Cabins each have a private braai (barbeque) area with braai grid and all utensils provided.  Bushveld firewood is available to buy on request.
Hezekiah is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area.  The Broham Golf driving range is a stones throw away whilst numerous world class Golf Courses can be found within a 50km radius.  Another attraction that is virtually on our doorstep is the spectacular Sudwala Caves and Dinosaur Park which is well worth a visit.  Nelspruit town and surrounds also has a lot to offer including the Lowveld Botanical Gardens, Riverside Mall and Casino, The Grove Lifestyle centre shopping complex, and the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Eden which offers three tours through the sanctuary daily.  Two of the entrance gates to the world famous Kruger National Park namely Malelane Gate and Numbi Gate are less than an hours drive away!  The famous Panorama Route area situated along the Drakensberg Escarpment is a bit further afield, but a day visit to Gods window; the Berlin and Lisbon waterfalls; the Bourkes Luck potholes and the Blyde River Canyon is possible none the less.  With an early start a day excursion to Maputo in Mozambique and/or a visit to the Ezulwini Valley in Swaziland could also be an option.  Hezekiah can arrange Day Tours to any of the numerous attractions in the area for those visitors that would prefer making use of a qualified guide to make the most of their experience.
Hezekiah prides itself on warm, friendly service.  Romantic elegance, exhilarating natural surroundings and a warm welcome awaits you in the heart of the African Lowveld.  Whether youre in Nelspruit for business or pleasure, looking for an overnight stop or a multiple day holiday destination, Hezekiah promises not only value for money but also an unforgettable stay.
