Just after the crossing Jeppes Reef Border Gate lies semi-rural Schoemansdal. Residents live simply, with farming and tending to livestock still the norm. A much-loved local attraction is the Driekoppies Dam where fishing is permitted. Visitors also flock from afar to experience the Driekoppis Dam Boat Cruise.
