Welcome to Schoemanskloof

More than just a scenic drive, Schoemanskloof offers tumbling waterfalls, breathtaking natural forests and a subtropical landscape with avocado, nut, and citrus farms. The iconic Old Joe waits patiently to signify your entry into the Kruger Lowveld from and is always up to feature in your holiday snaps!

BRIEF HISTORY:
The first farms in Schoemanskloof were granted in 1848. In those days it was the general custom for members of the same family to occupy neighbouring farms and during the 1850’s families related to the Schoemans presumably settled at Sterkspruit and the area became known as Schoemanskloof. In the end there were so many Schoemans that nicknames had to be added to create some order in the chaos.
