Balule Satellite Camp

A tiny satellite camp is located in the most breathtaking terrain, deep within the Kruger National Park.

One of the greatest locations for visitors to get up close and personal with nature is this camp, called “Balule” after the Tsonga word for the Olifants River. Balule is near the powerful Olifants River and roughly in the middle of the Park, south of Olifants Camp.

It’s a real back to basics experience with only the most minimal amenities and no electricity. The only thing separating you from the woods is a low fence. The camp’s distinct wilderness vibe makes it a popular choice among backpackers, caravanners, and other tourists looking to get away from it all.
