Chimpanzees that have been displaced from their native habitats can be seen at the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) South Africa Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which is located within the stunning 1,000-hectare Umhloti Nature Reserve, just 15 kilometres outside of Nelspruit.
The first and only chimpanzee refuge in South Africa, Chimp Eden was founded in 2006. This JGI chimpanzee sanctuary uses ecotourism and education to bring the chimps and humans closer together to create a greater understanding of the primate.
Tour Times: 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 14:00 pm
