The Sabie Townhouse
Sabie Village, with its array of stores and excellent dining options, is easily accessible on foot from the Sabie Town House Guest Lodge.
Sabie is a quiet, laid-back, and amiable hamlet located in Mpumalanga’s pine-covered Drakensberg Mountains. Sabie is protected from bilharzia and malaria by the sparkling water and the pure, clean air of our cold mountain environment. Sabie’s summer weather is pleasant, with warm days and mild nights (between 14 and 30 degrees). The winters are even nicer, with mists winding through the mountains in the early morning, followed by warm, dry days and cool nights when it feels like you can touch the stars.
Sabie is situated along the Panorama Route, one of South Africa’s most picturesque routes. It stretches along the escarpment and is home to several amazing tourist destinations, including the neighbouring historic gold mining village of Pilgrims Rest, God’s Window, the Three Rondavels, and the Blyde River Canyon, which is known for the Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
