Kruger National Park

One of Africa’s best wildlife experiences lie in wait at the Kruger National Park. Created in 1898 to safeguard the Lowveld’s wildlife, this conservation area is unparalleled in the diversity of its animal life and is a global leader in the application of cutting-edge environmental management strategies and laws. Impressively, 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds, and 147 mammals can be found in Kruger National Park.
The Kruger National Park is replete with evidence of man’s early inhabitance of the region, which can be seen at magnificent archaeological sites like Masorini and Thulamela and at bushman rock painting sites. Along with the park’s natural resources, these treasures serve as a symbol of the various cultures and people that has shaped the Kruger National Park to what it is today.
