Battery Creek Falls
This stunning waterfall is near the historical mining village of Kaapschehoop, which is renowned for its herds of wild horses. Battery Creek Falls is a 30 metre high waterfall, only a 10 minutes walk from Kaapsehoop.
To reach the waterfall, you will need to walk a few hundred metres, climb down into the gorge, and make your way along the stream to the bottom of the falls. The terrain is not difficult, but can be tricky when wet. Caution is advised.
Access to the waterfall requires a permit, which is obtainable from Platannas Gift and Decor (next to Salvadors) for a nominal fee. A map is also available.
